Education
Hazara Public School and College is a private institution, affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore. Considered to be an English Medium School, the bulk of the curriculum is taught in English. However, as the national language of Pakistan is Urdu and the country’s laws are based on humanity, rule of law, equality, harmony among religions, Urdu literature, grammar, Human Rights and Environment are also part of the teaching.
History
The Hazara Public School & College was set up in 1985 in a 2 rooms building. Soon because of exceptional educational results and meritorious scholarships won by the school students, Government of Pakistan and the Federal Ministry of Education honored the school by giving it an “Award for Performance”.
There are 3000 students enrolled on a campus consisting of 65 rooms and a play ground. The school was upgraded to college level in 2008.[1] The project is managed by Hazara Public School & College.
Curriculum
The curriculum does not change from 8th Grade (8th Class) onward until the SSC (Secondary School Examination) and HSSC (Higher Secondary School Examination) exams are taken and the student has graduated.
The curriculum includes Arabic, Art, Biology Theory and Lab, Chemistry Theory and Lab, Computer Science, English Grammar, English Literature, Humanity, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Physical Education, Physics Theory and Lab, Social Studies, Urdu Grammar and Urdu Literature.
